What now appears as decades ago the first Christopher Hanlon® formulas were sold in recycled Vegemite jars from a market stall. Hand mixed in an Australian backyard using native plants with a traditional fermented yoghurt based cosmetic recipe – a gift handed down from his mother Delia Elizabeth Hanlon.

EFS™ – THE BOTANICAL NUTRIENT BASE OF HANLON'S® ANTI-ÂGEING COSMETICS

EFS™ is the acronym for the botanical filtrate used in Hanlon's® anti-ageing cosmetics. Importantly Christopher Hanlon® Laboratories manufacture their own exclusive concentrate which consists of freshly harvested aloe vera into which botanical extracts like chamomile, calendula and vitamins are added. Probiotics such as acidophilus (think yoghurt) are used during the fermentation process. ALOE VERA FERMENTED WITH PROBIOTICS

Christopher Hanlon® Laboratories have perfected the process of fermentation (Méthode Electromagnétique) by using modern electric stainless steel fermenting tanks to improve product ageing in addition to important technical input from WACKER®. George explains: "An electric field increases maturation times and improves the quality of our creams. During ageing the product becomes less acidic as volatile compounds react with naturally present organic acids producing a plethora of delightful compounds colloquially known as esters". These fragrant esters reflect the health giving properties of the skin rejuvenating botanicals. Unpleasant components are precipitated out and the cosmetic becomes homogeneous in appearance. Hanlon adds: "It absorbs almost miraculously. It feels super nutritious and alive. It helps to keep the skin looking soft, plump and dewy. Youthful".
