CHRISTOPHER HANLON® is a contemporary Australian Artist who studied Graphic Design at Enmore (Randwick) and Fashion Design at the acclaimed East Sydney Technical College. HANLON® designed the concept (and the logo) for his brand in the final year of Design College and registered it as a Trademark® in 1994. Christopher sold his first products at both Paddington Markets and a designer store called called Bibelot (located next to the markets) on Oxford Street Paddington in 1994 – it was featured in VOGUE Australia by Beauty Editor Jane Druker. By 1995 the brand was purchased by department store Myer launching nationwide and subsequently by David Jones, with a rollout into 30 stores during 1997-8. HANLON® opened his first stand alone prototype store at the Argyle Centre in The Rocks in 2000 (called today CLELAND BOND stores on Playfair Street). By early 2000 a fully fledged concept store at The Strand Arcade opened with fellow Australian Designers Alex Perry, Akira, Sweet Art, Jason Brunsdon and The Shoe Queen Terry Biviano. By 2014 a second flagship opened on George Street Sydney Australia selling a comprehensive range of artisan crafted Perfumes, Organic Skincare and Australian Leather Bags. The brand was an early adopter of the internet using a secret matrix of underground influencers to build a formidable worldwide niche brand. Notable media celebrities who remain staunchly tight-lipped include MADONNA, NICOLE KIDMAN and KYLIE MINOGUE. Today Christopher sells both locally and internationally delivering door-to-door to 220 countries.
