Crocodile Rocks

HAND MADE IN THE HANLON® ATELIER

100 plus hours is all it takes to craft one simply exquiste piece, using the highly prized and sustainably-farmed indigenous Australian crocodile leather - locally sourced from Northern Territory. Due to both the rarity and inherent limitations of the materials per se, Bespoke Crocodile Leather Goods are generally petite in size and simple by design. Unlike its soft cowhide counterpart, which lends its form to a wide variety of organic shapes and sizes, crocodile leather pieces are by their nature structured and geometric. The designs must follow established construction techniques and manufacturing paradigms predetermined by the ‘tuff-as-metal’ plates and osteoderms. Featured is a luxurious statement clutch which showcases the unique textural characteristics of this Christopher Hanlon® selected hide. Importantly Christopher Hanlon® creates all crocodile pieces with beautiful imagination and a timeless sense of Australian designer style – just as his team have done for decades with their traditional cowhide leather goods.
