The local jam jar has become a symbol for the CHRISTOPHER HANLON® company since it was first used at Paddington Markets Sydney, shortly after Chris and his mates disbanded the 'recycled Vegemite jar' concept in the backyard. Today many cosmetic companies use similar jars but when Christopher began it was considered an anomaly that did not follow the mainstream trend – an anti-fashion. Thankfully these pioneering biofermented natural skin products have become core to the brand and an iconic mainstay with customers. At present Hanlon® exports 4 varieties (Manuka + Mandarin, Aloe Vera + Cucumber, Geelong Lemon Hand Crème and Orange + Jasmine) although the original range consisted of 7 (add Basil + Lavender, Lime + White Ginger and Rose Water). The recycled glass jam jar is roughly 200ml or 4 times the standard size of a pot of face cream – this generous size means there's no need to skimp on application (plus they multitask on face and body). Manuka and Mandarin has been chosen as this month's fave. It is ideal as a light Aloe Vera Radiance Face Crème and doubles as the perfect Skin Primer for makeup application.
