Delia Purple Rose is a small-batch artisan perfume with radiant rose top notes and an underlying hint of White Musk (Ambrette Seed accord with Peppermint and Saffron), Honey Amber, Peach and Tonka Bean. Inspired by Australia’s most exquisite backyard bush roses this House of Hanlon® creation unfolds with a luminous breath of natural rose. Radiant, freshly cut and alive. Beneath the petal lingers its warmth of Honeyed Amber and Violet. These notes unfurl and rise like sun-dried backyard flowers carried on warm air. Crisp Mint cools your personal atmosphere. Christopher Hanlon® Perfume is formulated using a unique process called Méthode Électromagnétique Fermentation®. What does this mean? As such Christopher’s perfumes cannot be compared to conventional perfumes because notes have been fused displacing various accords and discords. The artist Christopher Hanlon® invented a new perfume genre, not based on traditional top, middle and base notes. Christopher adds: ‘I would estimate that 95% of perfumes today are retro in so far as they formulate using the classic 3 tiered hierachy of top, middle and base’. Hanlon’s® revolutionary process allows key base notes to be cancelled as softer notes are ironically amplified. Add to the equation botanical notes like Australian Bush Potato that have hitherto not been used in perfumery. The bizarre blending culminates in signature blends that are wholistic, pure and unique. Christopher Hanlon® invented the process in 1994 using crackpot methods at Paddington Markets which today have been scientifically perfected. Some call it the devotee's raison d'être. Others call it perfection.
His-Storical Note: Based out of Sydney and Geelong today, each fragrance is still weighed, mixed, fermented, macerated and finally hand filtered to carefully remove remnants of the botanicals by Christopher’s own hand. Artisan made has been a family tradition of the House of Hanlon® since the 1800s. This craft continues the Art of Hanlon's® perfume making into the future — a timeless take on his-story, bottled.
