Melbourne Amber Musk is a luxurious alchemist mixture of Australian White Amber, Honey Suckle, Ambrette Seed (Musk), Oud and Banksia Absolute with a hint of Lemon-Rose. Set within sophisticated base notes of Western Australian Sandalwood, Benzoin and Truffle. The uplifting citrus accord of Yellow Bell and Geelong Lemon adds zing to the repertoire. Further olfactory delights include Tuberose and Lilly of the Valley Absolute. This rare perfume blends one of the world’s most expensive forms of musk (Ambrette Seed Absolute) with mouth watering Orange Blossom and minty Patchouli. A seductive statement of individual style. Christopher Hanlon® Perfume is formulated using a unique process called Méthode Électromagnétique Fermentation®. What does this mean? As such Christopher’s perfumes cannot be compared to conventional perfumes because notes have been fused displacing various accords and discords. The artist Christopher Hanlon® invented a new perfume genre, not based on traditional top, middle and base notes. Christopher adds: ‘I would estimate that 95% of perfumes today are retro in so far as they formulate using the classic 3 tiered hierachy of top, middle and base’. Hanlon’s® revolutionary process allows key base notes to be cancelled as softer notes are ironically amplified. Add to the equation botanical notes like Australian Bush Potato that have hitherto not been used in perfumery. The bizarre blending culminates in signature blends that are wholistic, pure and unique. Christopher Hanlon® invented the process in 1994 using crackpot methods at Paddington Markets which today have been scientifically perfected. Some call it the devotee's raison d'être. Others call it perfection.
His-Storical Note: Based out of Sydney and Geelong today, each fragrance is still weighed, mixed, fermented, macerated and hand filtered to carefully remove remnants of the botanicals by Christopher’s own hand.
